Sir Augustin Camilleri
Investigator / Observer

Hidden Hints
The Maltese Order’s interest in the Key did not begin with Petar Popov. Camilleri’s assignment suggests prior knowledge—long before the first recorded event.
SIR AUGUSTIN CAMILLERI
Affiliation: Maltese Order
Sir Augustin Camilleri operates as a representative of the Maltese Order—an organization whose interest in the Key predates the current chain of events.
Following the murder of Petar Popov, the Order initiated a quiet inquiry. Popov’s research into the Key had not gone unnoticed, and his death marked a point of concern significant enough to warrant direct involvement.
Camilleri was assigned to follow the matter.
His presence in Bulgaria places him among the last known individuals to have met Petar before his death, making him an early point of interest in the investigation. No direct evidence links him to the incident, yet his proximity remains noted.
As the case developed and Petar was no longer the central focus, Camilleri’s attention shifted.
He began to follow Boris Ognen and Vladislav Ivanov.
Unlike others, Camilleri does not operate openly within the investigation. His approach is measured, observational, and deliberately restrained. He rarely intervenes—but remains consistently present.
Whether he serves solely the interests of the Order… or follows a purpose not fully disclosed… remains uncertain.
What is clear is that Sir Augustin Camilleri is not searching for answers.
He is verifying them.
