Location Profile
Baldwin’s Tower rises above the Tsarevets fortress—silent, isolated, and untouched by certainty.
Captured after his defeat by Tsar Kaloyan, Baldwin I was brought here and never seen again. No execution was recorded. No remains were returned. Only a name was left behind… attached to stone.
The tower is said to have held more than a prisoner.
Those who study its history speak of missing accounts, altered records, and a deliberate absence of truth.
Whatever happened inside, it was not meant to be remembered.
Hidden Hints
Not all prisoners are meant to leave.
Some are meant to be forgotten.
